Cosmica open their account with a suitably psychedelic offering from Argentine duo Dubmasters. First and foremost the pairing are a live act, and their incendiary performances around South America, Mexico and California have become the stuff of legend. Now holed up in the studio, the duo have taken a break from recording their debut LP to hit us with this slow and low bit of dancefloor psych. Wonky and woozy "Secret Service" combines thick bass rumble with spidery guitars and spaced out keys to take us on a trip deep into our minds. Countrymen Germán Busin and Luis Padilla AKA Arturo Bass, offer the first remix here, softening the tough bass and chilling guitar with wah wah and echo to create a dubbed out creature from the swamp. On the flipside San Franciscan disco king Layne Fox dons his Musik Nonstop alias, supercharging "Secret Service" with a healthy dose of the dark wired sound. Adding crunchy industrial drums, moody synth stabs and no wave sax Layne lays a stone cold gothic groove on us, perfect for a night in the grime of the local punk club.
