Emerging at a time when Sodom's US counterparts had either gone soft or started to incorporate elements of nu-metal into their sound, 'M16' is an excellent collection of old-school thrash standards, boasting all of the intensity and superb musicianship fans had been craving, despite only Tom Angelripper remaining from the classic line-up. A concept album about the Vietnam War, it's standout tracks include 'Among The Weirdcong', 'Napalm In the Morning', 'M16' and the awesome 'Lead Injection'. The production is fantastic throughout and merely serves to enhance the record's impact.[2001]
